“Shiru l’Adonai shir chadash – Sing unto God a new song!” (Psalm 96)
Shabbat services at Kol Ami are alive with music, community, and tradition. Whether you’re a regular or trying something new, there’s a place for you.
Our clergy create a welcoming, informal atmosphere where everyone can participate. Services blend Hebrew and English, incorporate instruments and song, are fully egalitarian and participatory – children are always welcome, and all are invited to join us at 10:30 am in creating meaningful, inclusive Jewish moments.
Note: Summer service times and long weekends may vary – please refer to our calendar for the latest updates.
Once a month, we crank up the volume and welcome Shabbat with a serious soul. Shtyx, our house band, rocks the bima with guitars, drums, and high-energy vocals that get everyone clapping, singing, and maybe even dancing in the aisles.
It’s tradition with a twist – where ancient prayers meet electric vibes, and Psalm 150, “Praise God with harp and lyre,” gets a modern remix.
Rock Shabbat includes a community potluck dinner – because nothing brings people together like good food and great music.
Check the calendar and come rock (and nosh) with us!
