Our choir is a shining expression of Kol Ami’s vibrant musical spirit. Led by professional director Adine Mintz, our talented volunteer singers and accompanists bring the beauty of Jewish choral music to life at the High Holy Days, select Shabbat services, and special community events. Check the calendar and come experience the heart and soul of Kol Ami.
The choir’s diverse repertoire spans Hebrew and English, from modern Jewish composers and classical Reform melodies to timeless Baroque pieces – accompanied by piano, cello, oboe, guitar, and more.
Love to sing? Kol Ami members are warmly invited to audition. Contact Choir Director Adine Mintz to learn more.
Shtyx is Kol Ami’s high-energy house band made up of an eclectic mix of singers and musicians who just love to play. Whether it’s our monthly Rock Shabbat services, or a special occasion, Shtyx brings the ruach with a mix of joy, talent, and energy. Together, the band sets our prayers and blessings to a wide variety of music, from 50s rock and folk classics to modern hits and soulful ballads.
Shtyx is always inviting new participants to join the band. New members are always welcome. No experience? No problem. If you’re in it for the love of music and community, you’re in the right place.
Music helps our students build a lasting connection to Jewish life. From lively youth choir performances to the excitement of our youth rock band, Mini Shtyx—the next generation of our house band, Shtyx—kids discover that their voices and talents truly matter. Through music, they are inspired to imagine their own role in the community, showing that they can stay connected and be integral to shul life long after Hebrew School ends.
